In a recent conversation, Judith reminded me about how Mom would enjoy attending Canada Day ceremonies in Montreal, and how she delighted in the multi-culturalism and multilingualism of Canadian experience.
Many years ago, I wrote the music for a National Film Board of Canada short film called, “The Magic Quilt.”
This film is about Canada, Canadian unity and shared experience. Mom’s music instruction enabled me the ability to write the music for this award-winning film.
I am grateful to have experienced her teaching and generosity of spirit.
We celebrate/remember the anniversary of her birth on May 7, 1920.
