A new Daisy Peterson Sweeney website has been created in her honour by her children. Mom was a superb and insightful piano and music teacher who also taught a simple philosophy of generosity and kindness which her children and students have used throughout their lives.
You are invited to visit the Daisy Peterson Sweeney Website to find a simple outline of Mrs. Sweeney’s life or read daughter Judith’s moving tribute at the inauguration of the mural created in her mother’s life.
Daughter, Sylvia shares a beautiful memorial video on the website’s Resources page where you can also find biographical resources relating to Daisy’s life, including videos, a sampling of media and social media links, links related to the story of her life and work and Montreal’s history by decade.
The official inauguration of the Daisy-Peterson-Sweeney Park and Street, located in the southwest borough of Montreal, is being planned around COVID-19 restrictions, and hopefully a special celebration will be held in 2021.
Please feel free to contact the family if you would like to share an anecdote or story, image or video relating to Mrs. Sweeney’s and her life.
The Daisy Peterson Sweeney Family
A life worth celebrating! I love Oscar Peterson’s playing so if Daisy was his teacher I know that she passed on the family genes! Thank you for sharing this incredible piece of history!
